Contact points for students in crises

Are you feeling mentally unwell? Is your studies stressing you out? Are you looking for immediate help, counseling, or a support group? Here you'll find a list of resources.

Overview of the Canton of Zurich

Here you will find various services and contact points for mental stress and mental illness – for example, psychosocial counseling, psychotherapy, crisis intervention or inpatient psychiatric facilities.

PBSZH

Students and doctoral candidates at UZH and ETH Zurich can contact the Psychological Counseling Center of the Universities of Zurich (PBSZH) in case of psychological or social crises. They offer free, confidential support from experienced psychologists.

Jewish concerns

For specifically Jewish concerns or those in need of religiously sensitive counseling, organizations such as the Israelitische Cultusgemeinde Zürich (ICZ) and Chabad Zürich are available. They offer consultations, pastoral support, and practical assistance. Chabad Zürich, in particular, also offers personal guidance for those experiencing identity conflicts, antisemitic experiences, or spiritual crises.

For ZHAW students in Winterthur

If you're a student at the ZHAW, welcome! You're cordially invited to participate in one of our VJSZ events in Zurich. We value the exchange with young Jews from all over the world.

At the same time, the IGW in Winterthur also organizes great events specifically for Jewish students and young professionals in the region. So whether you want to stay locally or join us in Zurich—the choice is yours!
