The VJSZ (Association of Jewish Students and Young Adults in Zurich) has existed in its current form since 2015, though its roots go back even further. We are a team of six students and young professionals, all living in Zurich. We are passionate about organizing meaningful and fun Jewish events for the community.
We are always happy to listen, support, and be there for young Jews in Zurich. Got a question, an idea, or just want to connect? Reach out!
We are always open to new members who are motivated to get involved – if you're interested, do not hesitate to contact us!

Our history
Our organization has a rich history of promoting Jewish student life in Zurich. We have been committed to networking and supporting students since 2015.
What we do
We organize various events such as Shabbat dinners, study evenings, and panel discussions. We also offer the opportunity to sign up for WhatsApp/Telegram groups and present student initiatives and clubs.
To promote Jewish life in Zurich, we offer an overview of synagogues (Orthodox synagogue, Modern Orthodox synagogue/community center, liberal), kashrut offerings, mikveh, eruv information, and holiday offerings such as communal Passover Seders and Yom Kippur services.
We provide tips for students on finding accommodation, information on student-friendly districts, and support with questions about public transport, health insurance, and registering with the city.
Our organization provides information about Jewish holidays and university regulations, supports Jewish students at universities in Zurich, and offers tips for international Jewish students.
Jewish life in Zurich
We offer contact with Jewish communities and organizations, provide information about anti-Semitism reporting centers and legal support, and offer psychosocial services and contact points for students in crisis.
Living & everyday life in Zurich
Optionally, a job exchange or internship platform for Jewish organizations could also be integrated.
